The selling of the house was a big surprise because it didn't take that long but the financing for the buyer was the nightmare. At that time I contacted Donna Byrnes from Long and Foster Real Estate and my problems and nightmare with the selling of my property all of a sudden subsided because of the relationship with Donna. She did the basic analysis and started sending homes that were in the general area that we wanted to live and had the amenities and costs that we were looking to attain. After going through eight or nine homes, nothing seem to fit the bill but with her incredibly soft touch she said "just stay calm and one day the right place will come along and you'll know that immediately". Believe it or not after another nine homes that we went through we were starting to become very concerned, but Donna said the same thing she said before about staying calm and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Then one day in early May she sent us a home in Woodbine, NJ and it had all of the amenities and costs that we were looking for but we both said, Woodbine???? On the day that we met her there and she took us through the place and as she had stated all along it was exactly the size and had all of the amenities and costs that we were looking for and we made the offer right on the spot. She meticulously follow through with the offer and coordinated the inspections, corrections and negotiations to make things work because there were some things that had to be fixed. Obviously it worked out for the seller and definitely for us and that could not have possibly happened without the assistance of Donna Byrnes. 25 days later we went to settlement and after the initial impact of downsizing it is exactly what we were looking for and exactly where we want to be. Even after the sale her weekly follow-ups gave us the confidence and knowledge that she was right on top of everything until everything was completed to our complete satisfaction. Bravo and kudos for the excellent performance of Donna Byrnes from Long and Foster Real Estate, which I would strongly suggest to anyone that is going to buy a home or sell a home or both as we did.
